There are a lot of different styles of panties out there, and it can be really confusing choosing between them.
For women, the selection of panties is something we’ve grown up with. We’re used to being able to navigate the world of intimate apparel with ease and panache. Maybe with the help of a good salesgirl or our bestie at our side, but still. There’s this idea that the selection of the right pair of panties (or the right bra for that matter) should be something instinctual and simplistic for all females.
Let’s put this instinctive idea to rest, shall we?
It’s not easy to pick perfect panties, even for those of us born in female bodies. It takes practice, research and patience to find the panties that work best for each of us, no matter when we first started shopping in the ladies section of the store. I’m going to leave bras for another time, and just tackle panties today.
From the very beginning, you have a few things to keep in mind when you go shopping for your panties.
You need to consider material first. Yes, first. The material will limit the style selection. For absorbent panties (in case your sissy stick gets excited and leaks all over the place) you’re going to want cotton. It absorbs, breathes, is easy to clean, and doesn’t break the bank. If you’re going for comfort, try a natural fabric like silk, bamboo, or cotton; polyesters and nylons are pretty, and have a nice feel to the fingers, but if it gets the slightest bit damp it’s going to rub like a son of a bitch, and the fact that man made fibers aren’t as absorbent means your sissy leakage will pool, and you could find yourself with irritation and a rash.
From material we move right on to cut.
I advocate for no shame, as you all know, so, here I go again. Don’t get the ten to a package, or six in a pack sets of panties. You can’t hold them up to see where the leg holes are, how the waist is constructed, or really get a good idea of how soft they are. Do the singles, laid out on tables, and have no shame. (Or get a girlfriend to help you out.) Unless you’re used to them, thong panties can be very intrusive. And by intrusive I mean they crawl right up your ass. Ditto so-called ‘boyshorts’, at least, if you have a booty. For panties that don’t slide between your asscheeks to say hello, try ‘granny’ panties, high-cut leg panties, or basically anything that says ‘full coverage’.
From there it’s a question of personal taste!
Pick your material, then your style, then go wild girls! Patterns, colors, lace trim, tiny bow ties on the front, windows over the heart of your ass, on and on. Boy panties are so boring, this is your chance to wear something to make you smile. Go for animal prints, butterflies, hearts and paisley. The key is to find something, no matter what it’s made of or cut like, that makes you feel sweet and sassy.
What do I like best?
Victoria’s Secret cotton high-cut panties, in a wide array of patterns and colors. The wilder the better for me! Brilliant jewel tones, pretty butterflies, lace trim. And for sexy times? Vickies again, but I go for the slinky ‘fuck me’ panties with matching bras. How about you? What’s your favorite kind of panty?
There is no better way to reveal ones age, than to admit their favorite style panty.Sexual mapping at an early age had me snapping off(just two fingers) to granny panties in the bathroom with the Sears catalog.Later,it was full fisted Vaseline action to bikini panties and Seventeen magazine.Sorry thong fans, there isnt enough fabric, and the damn things cant be sanitary!
I have a variety of panties, but almost always wear my nylon VF full briefs.
Hi Dena,
Do you like the nylon briefs better than cotton? Is it the slickness of the nylon that draws you to them? If it is, you may like the feel of silk panties…
Thank you Mistress, I guess I like the nylon panties better (though many years ago I had a cotton pair I liked, I just didn’t buy anymore)!
I think my preference for nylon goes back to the first panties I wore. When I put them on, it was electric, I had never felt anything like it. I loved it!
I do love wearing silk also. Once I got my first pair of silk PJ’s, I rarely wore polyester satin thereafter.
oh, the difference in feel between satin and silk! First time I switched to silk, I was a believer. OMG. Fantastic!
I am just about to be forced to wear panties all the time from now on and am without a clue on what kind of panties I need to buy. I know I need at least 14 pair, but have no idea what style would be best for a new sissy.
