This year, I want to invite you to celebrate the Fourth with Enchantrix Empire!
The Fourth of July is the American Independence Day, the day when we told royalty to go take a long walk off a short pier, and then aggressively stuck it to the Man in the name of freedom and self determination. So this year, I’d like to invite us all to indulge our urges towards that same freedom and self determination by, once more, aggressively sticking it to the Man. Celebrate the Fourth with Enchantrix Empire and flaunt the cis-hetero-patriarchy at the same time!
I know, I just snuck a great big vocabulary word in there, didn’t I?
The cis-hetero-patriarchy is the Man. It’s not you, as an individual, it’s the entire surrounding system of patriarchal male person identified systemic repression for everyone who doesn’t fit into the ‘dominant’ group. ~phew~ That’s a mouthful! (Learn more about these ideas with Whore School!) Celebrate the original spirit of the Founding Fathers by putting on heels, a powdered wig, and some great rouge for your cheeks. Accept that the prevailing idea around what a ‘man’ is supposed to be changes over time, and that being told how to be, what to do, makes you less free, less independent, and chips away at your self determination.
