Remember the rules for the holidays:
- Do not bankrupt yourself to buy gifts for anyone.
- Perfection is the enemy of good: lower your standards a little!
- Take time to rest and relax.
- Yours is not the only holy day; Happy Holidays acknowledges everyone’s beliefs, and doesn’t make you an asshole. Don’t be an asshole.
Heh, I love the idea of Santa flying in his sleigh, giving a wave and saying
” Ho Ho Ho ! Happy Holidays, everyone ! Don’t be an asshoooooole !
Ho ho ho !”
Great advice all around, Ms Harper. As always.
Ho Ho Whore!
Miss Harper, you are right about relaxing during the holidays. I think it is the perfect time to enjoy parties and be with people we care about. Presents are fine, but spending time around a fire with good food, friends and wine is my favorite part. Absolutely, no reason to be an asshole at all!
Sometimes I think people enjoy being rude jerks to others, for the endorphin rush. Those sorts of people should be introduced to other, nicer forms of happiness, like wanking one off. 😉 Much less likely to be an asshole when you’re basking in the afterglow of a good orgasm!
I absolutely agree. I think some people go out to at just to get a sense of power and thrill at abusing the waitress/ waiter. Making themselves feel important by being righteously angry assholes to retail workers and customer service people. People who aren’t in a position to completely stand up for themselves. Same thing for harsh teachers and employers. And just bullies in general. All they are doing is showing how powerless they really feel inside.. How small and petty they are that they need such a thing to feel like they matter.
I like both your solution and Miss Lena’s. Every one would be better off and happier all around.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas 🙂
