sounds like a tremendous infusion of talent, Ms. Harper……..not that there was anything “wrong” with the old blood, lol. One question about the “Mistress Blogs”…….a lot of them seem to have been inactive for a while. Does that reflect departures from the LDW fold &, if so, can that list be updated sometime?
So far as I know I have the most up to date list of Mistress blogs. I know that some of the ladies find blogging intimidating, and some of them prefer to hang out in the chatroom at communitykink.com; I like to blog, personally, so I keep mine updated more.
As an example, three of the ladies I linked to have blogs so far, and two of them have content up. We’re all individuals here, and some of us write faster than others. 😉
If there’s someone you really like that has no new content up, maybe drop her a line and ask for new bloggishness? It’s a one in a million chance, but it just might work (which, if this were a movie, would guarantee success…)

No, Ms. Harper. There’s no one in particular. It has just struck me as a good way to develop a sense of “person” and some blogs don’t appear to have been updated since some time in ’10.
i’ve, also, noticed the Blog Lists aren’t consistent from blog to blog, either in terms of a Domme’s title or who is on the list.
again, its just a curiosity to me.
The variation is because the Mistresses have some control over that… and give a Mistress a chance to tweak something, and she will! lol. I keep mine simple, just Ms. Name as the link in the sidebar.
There are 121 Mistress blogs total, and 62 of them are active. (How do I know? Because someone went through and made a master list!) I just counted, and all 62 active blogs are linked in the sidebar on my blog. Now, “active” means different things to different people; in this case active seems to mean ‘the Mistress is still taking calls and doing stuff with the group,’ and not neccessarily ‘the Mistress has updated her blog this year.’ We got a lot of leeway about when and how often we blog.
I blog a lot because I like it. XD lol. Some ladies put their energy and effort into different things. (and even I have off weeks where I don’t update the blog, or answer comments… I get busy doing other things and my poor blog sits neglected and sad, pining for me to give it some attention…)
I do agree with you, the blogs are a great way to get inside the head of any given Mistress. Me, I like the platform of blogging, it’s like talking to a whole lot of people all at one time. One on one, I tend to be more quirky and odd, funnier (I think) and more sarcastic. Some folks are intimidated by blogging — that faceless mass of readers hanging on your every word, waiting with baited breath for the next gem to fall from your lips… there’s a lot of pressure for some.
Me? I don’t have any problem going on and on in a blog. The trick is getting me to stop!
You have far and away one of the best LDW blogs, which is certainly saying something considering the overall high quality!
