There are as many reasons to date a strong independent woman as there are stars in the sky, but let’s keep this manageable for now and go with the top three. First, we need to define our terms! A strong independent woman is a woman who doesn’t need a man, can take care of her own needs and desires, and gets what she wants, when she wants it, and how she wants it. Strong women stand on their own, without relying on others. Independent women aren’t afraid to strike out on their own.

You should date a strong independent woman because she’s more than she seems on the surface.

A woman who is strong and independent is far more than just surface appearances. While she’ll most likely be beautiful, and strike you as hot, what you’ll quickly find is that her force of personality is the prime source of her magnetic appeal. She’ll have a lot going on in her life, because she’s filled it with things that count. She’ll volunteer in her community, read widely, and have opinions on current events and politics. She’ll be well reasoned, logical, and yet warm of heart.

Strong women have their shit together.

Where some people flounder and flail, this woman sails right on through. She has a goal, a plan, and knows how to reach her well-defined endpoint. She’ll have a year long, five year, ten year, and retirement plan. She plans her meals and snacks so she doesn’t spend forever and all the money at the grocery store. She goes to the gym and maintains her house with rigor and a flexible schedule. This is a woman with a plan for all situations and the flexibility to go with the flow at the same time.

Lastly, you should date a strong independent woman because she doesn’t need you.

A strong independent woman won’t be afraid to call you on your shit. She’ll let you know where you could do better: no coasting through life with this woman by your side. Her ability to handle her life will inspire you to get your own life on lock. All those unfinished projects will suddenly get done, because you’d hate for her to find out about them and give you the Look of Disappointment. Your retirement savings will stop flowing negatively, because you know she’d think less of you. Date a strong independent woman, because she will leave you if you’re a scrub; you’ll stop being a scrub and looser just to make sure you can keep her by your side.
